Love This Little Picture, No Pun Intended

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

I wonder if I could take this super cute idea, tweak it a little, and create something similar? Craft paper. A frame. A heart stencil. Would that be stealing someone's idea or just using it as inspiration? Anyways, I love it. You can find the real deal here:

  1. I love your blog! My husband and I are waiting to adopt as well and I have a zillion crafty things on the go to keep my mind busy. A Debbie Bliss Baby Sweater and making a good wishes quilt with the entire alphabet embroidered on it are my top 2 projects right now. I had fallen off the crafty wagon but after reading your blog yesterday...I can happily say I am finally back to the projects.

    Thanks!

  2. Hey there, thanks for following along. I didn't think anyone read this blog. Haha!

Your projects sound alot trickier than mine, you'll have to let me know how they turn out.

I agree that this crafty business is contagious.

    Thanks again for saying hi.

  4. They may sound trickier....however, I am no master and have to constantly refer back to my many books for advice. I have undone part of my baby sweater atleast 3 times because I lost a stitch! Unknit 3 rows, knit 5 rows, unknit 2 rows, knit 6 rows. It's pathetic but I am determined!

  5. I was just looking back at some of your posts and saw this picture. Instead of a hear stencil, you should go to a scrapbooking shop and by a heart shaped punch. It would be way easier! I'm thinking I may try this... :)

  6. I've seen the heart-shaped punch things at Michaels, I think they're about $19 or $16 bucks each in a few different sizes. I really want to try this project, too. I would love to cut out the words from one of my favourite children's books, like Charlotte's Web or Anne of Green Gables or something. OR, my other idea was to cut out pretty scrapbook paper instead... Hmmmmm...... :) There are so many things I want to try but there's just not enough time in the day!!!
