I purchased this oh so lovely knotty pine side table about 6 years ago when I lived out of town (in my own little apartment) for my year of Teacher's College. I remember driving to the local Leon's (gasp!) and buying it all by myself. My very first solo furniture purchase.
I know you might grimace when you hear this but it's been in my living room ever since. My original plan was to replace it with something better when I found the perfect side table, but it's been 5 years and I still haven't found the perfect one!
This morning I decided that this ol' knotty pine side table (gotta insert the knotty pine part a few times so you get the gist of how ugly it is) needs a makeover.
I'm sure the real reason for this makeover is that it's getting about that time.... you know the time.... back-to-school (AH! I can't believe I said it out loud).... and soon I will be in full classroom organization/timetable/lesson plan mode. This could possibly be my last project for the next little while. Excuse me while I wipe away the tears. Boo hoo to going back to work.
ANYWAY, I am going to try my very hardest to finish this project in 2 days. This will take a lot of perseverance, swearing, and possibly a miracle for this Project A.D.D. girl. I can do it. I CAN DO IT!!!!!
