I am so, so sad that I haven't been able to work on any projects around the house this week. The truth is that I've been working on something much more glamorous.... laminating name tags, sharpening pencils, and wiping down a zillion book bins that have collected an insane amount of dust over the summer holidays. Yes, you heard that right. You know you're a geek when you own your own laminator. There are times when I just love my job, though. Like yesterday, when I moved a basket of books to find an old, crusty band-aid just lying there in the back of the bookshelf. Gotta love those charming little surprises the kiddos leave for me. Can you say ew??? Hahaha.
Anyway, I brought my camera on our little road trip to take photos of all the cute things I
I still got a few shots with my cellphone and here are three delightful sights:
1. This road sign. What a quirky name!
2. The first shop we stopped at. Um, hello! I'll be coming in all right.
3. This sweet little cubby-thing that is now sitting in my living room waiting for a mini-makeover. Stay tuned!
Love roadtrips! My goal is to leave the kiddos with a grandparent, a neighbor, a guy on the side of the road (kidding, kidding), and go on a little thrifting trip with the hubby before the new rugrat gets here. Can't wait to see what you do with the cubby!
ReplyDeleteI love the little cubby thing and I can't wait to see its redo!

ReplyDeleteI would love to get my guy to take a trip of ANY kind....a thrifting trip would just make it icing on the cake!
Ummmm, if you lived closer I would break in to your house and steal the cubby thing. TOO CUTE. Can't wait to see the makeover.
