A holiday home tour even though I will never, ever be done I'm not quite done yet.
Can you picture/hear me whining, "But I want to join the party tooooooooooooooooooo."
That's pretty much what I'm saying to myself right now. About this party:
So here's a recap of the little bits of holiday decorating I've done so far. Nothin' new. Yet. I am so going to keep updating this post when I'm finished my dining room centerpiece, my dining room window ledge, my window boxes, my outdoor planters, my staircase railing, my place settings, my revised Christmas tree, my shelf/pretend mantle. Oh yeah. Not done any of those yet.
Back to what I have done. It's not much but I really wanted to join the party (refer to the above picture and whiny quote).
I added some fresh greenery and white dishes to my dining room cabinet. I'm so proud! The top of that cabinet has been empty for over a year. That little cedar wreath was made from stealing cedar branches from my neighbours bushes. They weren't home at the time so it was okay. Before you judge me, know that I clipped them from the lane way side. Hee hee!
I tied bells onto stuff. Apparently that counts as decorating now.
I made some cute tags for all the presents for me under the tree. In reality none of our gifts are wrapped. The stale Vegetable Thins crackers in the above box though? They're still wrapped up and ready to give to Alex.
I finally decorated the tree all rustic-like. I'm still tweaking it though. See those red bells? Gone. Yuck. Ick. Dear bells: don't talk to me unless you all of a sudden turn white and cute.
I put a fresh boxwood wreath and my newly made burlap stockings up in a little area as you are walking from the kitchen into the living room. If you are sick of me talking about those darned burlap stockings.... it's okay I'm annoyed with myself too. Not another word about it. I swear. Burlapstockings.
Here are some links to where all of the magic happened. Bahahaha. P.S. Don't forget that I'm not done yet.
