I am a new scrapbooker/card maker and have just done my first set of Christmas cards myself this year. ReplyDeleteI just finished a project...a coffee filter wreath, I'm trying to get over this bad cold that I picked up so that's why I'm currently not working on anything at the moment!
ReplyDeleteWell, this is my weekend to take down the Christmas decorations. So right now, that's my project! After that, I have a garage, basement and numerous nooks and crannies filled with furniture that needs to be painted! And then there are the craft projects swimming around in my head, keeping up with my own blog, getting to the gym ... well, you get the idea. Way more things to do than hours in the day!

ReplyDeleteI have lots of current projects, finishes mostly, but my emphasis this week is filling lots of nail holes in the new board and batten treatment in the kitchen. I had to take a break last night to do something more creative, and stayed up till 1am finishing some quilted pillows. Very satisfying.

ReplyDeleteCurrently, I'm working on the final touches of a set of nesting tables. You know how they say it takes 20% of the time to finish 80% of the project but 80% of your time goes into the last 20% of it? Yeah, "they" are right. It's an old set passed down from my wonderful Grandmother a couple years ago after she passed away. I wanted to use them more and painting them (they were originally just "wood"...maple maybe?) I can match them to the house thereby making them more "us". I'm sure photos will follow on my blog some time this year :)

My goal for this year is to inject some color into this khaki castle. Need a light and airy neutral backdrop so i can add some punches of color. Can't wait. Also, right now, I'm working on planning out the rest of my son's room. Yeah, he's 2...it's not finished. What can I say? Time to wrap some things up. Woo to the hoo!

I will eventually paint the legs and chairs white, but may have to wait until spring. Also have a chair I want to paint and re-cover. Currently looking for a metal tray to make a chalkboard out of.

As soon as we get settled I plan to make a couple of baby blankets for nephews due in March and April - hopefully we settle soon!
