Tiny Antique Desk - Before and After

I'm sort of done my first project of the year. Woohoo! I sanded, primed, and painted (three times) my antique desk thingy. Except........ I haven't done the matching chair. Yet. The chair just had so many round parts. And round parts are hard to paint. So I'll devote the next few days, and a whole other blog post, to the teeny tiny chair once it's done. Plus, this desk thingy looks super cute without a chair anyway.

Here's a reminder of what it looked like before. Pretty cute, but not white.

Here is what it looked like during the transformation process. Some primer, some wood-filler, a big mess.

And here is what it looks like now. Yay!

There's a little spot at the front for a little basket or in this case, a candle-holder turned tiny container.

When you flip the piece around there is a "secret" opening. I already mentioned that that's where I'll be stashing all of the receipts from my "secret" purchases. Heh heh heh.

P.S. I'll be doing a step-by-step explanation of how I transformed this piece when I do the matching chair. I just didn't take enough photos of the desk as I was working on it because I was in a mad rush to get my first project of the year done. I can't wait to try it out in the living room!
