An old dresser is about to get another makeover. I just hauled this thing from the spare room upstairs down to the breakfast room on the main floor all by myself. Just call me Hulk.
I love the size and shape of the dresser in this little corner of the breakfast room. However the green on green look is not working. My plan is to paint it white and distress it so that some of the green still shows through.
It shouldn't take too long since I can just throw the white paint on top without any sanding or primer. I'm doing all of this while Alex is out of town so that he won't call me crazy for repainting it again while I have about ten other projects lined up.
Hopefully it'll be ready to show you tomorrow!
Can't wait to see what you do with it!! You are like me,,,I have hauled furniture around without help too,,,only to hear "how did you manage to move that by youself"...thank goodness for throw rugs to help "slide things" and for eatin my Wheaties!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love old dressers, and that is a cute one. She has great legs and love the little pulls. Today I put the first coat on our youngest son's night table and on a toy box I picked up at a garage sale this morning. Tonight I decided to ask for advice on what colour to paint the armoire in our family room. I hope you can stop in and give your opinion on the post.
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat chest of drawers, it should be interesting to see the new look it will take on. Let the paint brushing begin.... :)
ReplyDeleteDear Hulk, looking forward to the transformation, giggle. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dresser, I can't wait to see the finish!
