Eeek! I'm already so behind on my mini-goal of posting at least 2-3 times per week. How can I be behind already, it's only the third week since I made the goal!?!?!
So, I'll post about my cute, new basket. Do you ever get pictures of interiors embedded in your mind? I do. I pinned this picture awhile back on my pinterest thingie and have had visions of wire baskets dancing in my mind ever since:

I was at Homesense this weekend shopping for a few last minute items for the wedding shower when I saw a couple walk by with two similarly sized / shaped wire baskets in their cart.
I sent my mom on a mission to follow them and try to find out where they got them and if there were any left. We found out there was one left. Score! Except I wasn't supposed to be shopping for me. Ooops. ;)
I know it's not as quirky and antique-looking as the one in my inspiration photo but when you live where I live (and the shopping stinks) you gotta take what you can get.
It was $19.99 and pretty solid. I threw some cushions in it for now to see how cute it would look. Yup, pretty cute.
I thought it would look really good filled up with throw blankets in the basement or with stuffed animals in a kids room.

Hey, on an unrelated note, have any of you ever taken an online interior design course? I've been seriously contemplating a crazy life change and would love any recommendations you've got for me. :)
Love that cute wire basket ! Score! Good luck with researching your career ideas....sorry I don't know much about online interior design courses. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThat basket is really adorable! I love the look of it! Also, I think you should DEFINITELY go for the online schooling. I go to University of Phoenix right now getting my degree in English Lit and I would encourage you to accomplish whatever you have in your mind. I am graduating this year and knowing that makes me feel amazing. So go get it girl!

I'm also obsessed with wire baskets at the moment, but haven't found one I like at a likeable price. ;) Congrats on your find. I love it! x J

ReplyDeleteRegarding the online interior design course...I recently enrolled at the Sheffield Interior Design School based in New York. I received my first unit and worked on my first few lessons last night! It was super fun and I can't believe how much I'm enjoying it so far.
ReplyDeleteHere's their site: http://www.sheffield.edu/htmlsrc/interior-design-course.html
Keep up the great work and pursue your dreams!
Cheers, Jean
