This is going to be a pictures only post today, k?
Lots and lots and lots of pictures.
My plan is to do a separate post tomorrow with links, info, and sources on where I purchased everything in the room and/or how I made stuff.
I'll also make sure to include the room dimensions, paint colours, as well as before pictures from when we moved in and the room had blue walls and pink carpeting.
Well...... (biting fingernails)...... do you like it?

Been.waiting.so.long.for.this.and.you.did.not.disappoint!!! You done good, girl, you done real good!!! It is completely obvious that you really, really, love little ninja, and that you really, really love design...and that you are really, really good at it:)
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure where to start! I love all the warm natural, textural elements you've incorporated that help balance out the light and white - all the baskets, the wooden crates, the blinds, the rug, the wood on the toys. Uhm, that star map garland thingie?! What!? I want one for my room!!! And I'm 35:) Loove all the greenery (my mom just told me she read an article that you should have plants in a nursery - and not a lot of plastic toys - to give off good stuff into the air for the little ones). The ledge shelves turned out amazingly!! Really like everything you framed and the way you styled them (your little car shadowboxes look so cute here)! The numbers on the dresser (and the way they play off the growth chart) are killing me:)
This room has definitely found that happy place (the intersection of cute, sophisticated, comfortable, functional, rustic, airy..and a whole bunch of other awesome adjectives) that is hard to pull off, especially for a baby boy nursery. All it needs now is the man himself!!! The best part of all. And trust me, when you are awake in the middle of the night, sitting in that chair, rocking him...it really does matter that you enjoy the room you are in. Cause you are going to spend a lot of time gazing around at these 4 walls and loving every moment with your little guy in this space.
Everything about this Nursery is amazing, Sarah! You can see how much love and thought went into every little detail. Your little boy is going to be the ultimate accessory to fill this already beautiful space. I can't wait to find out more details and see the true transformation since I feel your house is a lot like ours in its original state.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow!
It's beautiful. I love how calm and serene it looks... and yet it's so warm and welcoming.

OMGOSH! There's Max from Wild Things... and stars made from maps as garland... AND stars from maps as the framed print thingy (I started following you because of the heart framed thingys you made some time back!)... and the furniture... and the growth chart... and the plants... and the toys and books, just waiting to be played with (I'm envisioning a warm, cottage, vintage "Toy Story" moment here!) ...

ReplyDeleteLooks sensational! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteIt all came together so beautifully. My favorites are the stenciled wall, the alphabet pictures and the cars you framed. The stars cut out of maps are fantastic too. But you can't really take a room like this and pick out favorite elements because everything works together so well. I love how you saw your vision through. Did it turn out just that way you thought it would? Do you love it as much as all of us seem to? You really seem to have a great eye for design.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the cutest nurseries that I have ever seen. It's decorated in such a cute way but it's still functional for the baby to play. I love the dresser/changing table, the shelving with the toy boxes, and of course the stenciled wall. Just perfect! ~ Jamie

ReplyDeleteWhere's the wallpaper from? Love it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lara, sorry I missed this comment. The wall is stenciled with paint using a wall stencil from Royal Design Studio!
Delete:)
There are so many things about this room that i love so I am only going to focus on three. The fact you have numbers everywhere is really cool as it allows your child to learn how to count. Second thing would have to be the vintage crates as storage, i think that really brings flavour to your child's room. And finally I really love the maps cut into stars. I think that is a really great personal touch. Thank you for sharing your pictures .
ReplyDeleteProbably the most perfect boy's nursery I've ever seen... and I'm on Pinterest... well, a lot. Lol! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI also love your crib! Would love more information if possible, thanks for sharing such an amazing room!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Teresa. It's the White Straight Up Crib from The Land of Nod. :)
DeleteSo serene, perfect and beautiful all around. You added just the right touch of everything everywhere. I wish I had your talent!
