I had the ultimate pleasure last night of snooping through one of the cutest houses on our street. I could always tell that the owners of the house had impeccable taste, just by the finishing choices they have made to the exterior. Since walking around with Cooper, we've gotten to know the owners a bit more and last night they offered to give us a tour of their house. Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?!?!?!
I've never been more excited to see a home's interior. And oooooooh I was so right. The house was absolutely gorgeous with pale neutrals on the walls, crisp white built-ins everywhere, gorgeous lighting, etc. etc. etc. I can honestly say that I've never actually been in a home that was decorated in my style. It was dreamy.
So when I got home to my half-renovated, half decorated house I was a little bit grumpy with myself. It's time to kick this butt into high gear and start making some decisions so that I can finish some rooms off.
One thing our walls are lacking is wall art. I know I could just buy some cheap prints at Homesense but where's the fun in that?
I browsed Etsy last night instead. Uhhhhh, for a long time.
There are SO MANY options. But I narrowed my choices down to three. Wanna help me choose?
Option A from F2 Images on Etsy:
Option B from The Haunted Hollow Tree on Etsy:
Option C from Eye Poetry Photography on Etsy:
I love, love, love them all. Buuuuut I should probably only get one set to start off with. Of course I'll get some matching white mats and frames.
So, which ones do you think I should get?
They are all lovely but my favourites are the first set. Curious to see what you decide.
ReplyDeleteI vote for option B. I was going to say A but then I looked again and it seemed a little "haunted house" y'know?
ReplyDeleteHaha! Haunted house is definitely not the look I'm going for.... :)
DeleteThey are all nice. Where are you placing them?
ReplyDeleteI made sure to choose really neutral prints so that they could go anywhere in the house but I'm thinking living room or stairwell. :)
DeleteI kind of love option A, because they are so different. BTW, I copied your growth chart, and I LOVE it! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteWoo woooooooo! That's what I love about blogging.... Sharing ideas!!
DeleteHiyee!! Definitely B or C, I'm just one for more nature related art:) Definitely all good choices. I might start with where you want to put them...do you have a spot already? Will it hold 2 horizontal pieces or 4 square ones better?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your input, girl!
DeleteI have so many bare walls that they could pretty much go anywhere.... I was thinking that four frames vertically from floor to ceiling would look kind of cool.... Obviously I saw that idea on Pinterest.... Hahaha!
A all the way!
ReplyDeleteI think that I would have to get them all starting with C :)
ReplyDeleteKelly - I love how you think girl!!!!
DeleteAll of them eventually might be my secret plan..... ;)
I vote Option A all the way! They would look cute so many places {especially with extra wide white mats}, but I think they'd look great on the wall at the bottom of the stairs/landing, or even in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteTooooo funny because that is the exact empty spot I was thinking of (stair landing) and extra wide white mats are a must.
DeleteGreat minds do think alike... Hee hee!
My favs and the ones that seem to me "you" are the first set but they are all beautiful and nicely done! Wish I could have seen their home I bet it was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIf I get to know the owners even more you can bet that I'll ask to take some pics for the blog!
DeleteLove love love the first two!!!
ReplyDeleteGet those, get those!
xo,
Shannon
Looove the butterflies!!
ReplyDeleteI would do option C.
ReplyDeleteI like option B. Seems timeless to me.
ReplyDeleteI say A! I remember seeing them before and loved them.
ReplyDeleteAnna Gascey
I spend hours looking at art on etsy also. Have checked out A and C's images before and love them, B is nice but a new one for me. I think photos are the way to go and although I'd made C a favorite in the past option A really is different and I like different!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! Different is the way to go for sure. :)
DeleteI love option A!!! The others are nice but if I could only pick one set it would be A.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 are great- but If I have to choose just 1, I'd go with "C".
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! It's tough to pick, but I'd have to go with Option A. I love the texture of the prints.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the typewriter and fan!
ReplyDeleteI really love the butterfly series. Simple. clean and very beautiful prints. Where are you planning to put them?
ReplyDeleteNot too sure yet!!! I have a few spots in mind in our living room / dining room but it will depend on their size and how many prints I go with. So many decisions!!!!!
DeleteI love A - especially the fan...seems more unique than the others.
ReplyDeleteI love Option C..
ReplyDeleteOption B - but I do love bees....J
ReplyDeleteI like 'C' myself! How are you, byt he way? Looking forward to a September at home? Trust me, you won't know what to do with yourself on the first day of school! Lol! I remember when I had Jackson, it was so weird to not be planning for a new year! xoxo Claire
ReplyDeleteClaire!!! I am doing well. Loving being home and not having to worry about school in September. Best feeling ever!!!!!! :)
DeleteOption A all the way - they're neutral and unusual so you'll get a lot of questions about it :)
ReplyDeleteDef Option A =)
ReplyDeleteI'm digging the typewriter and fan the best. Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteOption B, I never grow tired of Botanical, and those are CUTE! I have a fan and typewriter just like those, fans are fun to decorate with and useful if they still work.
