If you hadn't heard, Target stores have been opening up locations all across Canada. Awhile back I heard a rumour that they might be opening up a location in my city. Not gonna lie, I was pretty skeptical. There aren't a lot of good stores here ifyouknowwhatI'msaying.
I was skeptical until yesterday. Target opened and I went. I bought stuff and it was magical.
To be completely honest - the store was super busy and a lot of the stock was cleared out. But I did score some cute finds: a set of robot dishes and a little dinosaur backpack for the Coopster, a bed skirt for our newish king-sized bed, and the cutest polka dot kraft paper ever.
The store had some really nice house-ware type stuff. I am really excited to go back minus the cranky toddler trying to climb out of my shopping cart.
I know it's kind of awful to admit but I really, really, really, really, really like shopping. :)
I had my first visit this weekend too! I was impressed! I guess I thought I'd be disappointed but was pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteI really love Target too, I was there today and bought banner for Christmas made of felt and some jeggings. Glad one has opened up near you, you will be going there every chance you get.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from Target. Target is my favorite. I don't really know what it is...being able to buy almost anything in one trip, cute stuff, decent prices, snacks at the ready (do you have a Starbucks in yours?) to make shopping more fun, clearance end-caps, blah blah blah. I just know I love it and would probably not be able to make it in a town without one! lol! Is that bad? I hope not.
ReplyDelete:O I had no idea Canada didn't have Targets! I'm so happy you have one nearby now. I love Target almost as much as Home Depot and Hobby Lobby. :)
ReplyDeleteThe customer service is also impeccable. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome, promptly responding to your emails or calls. They take their time explaining things to you.
ReplyDeleteGoing to Target without a toddler is like heaven! Enjoy...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have a Target! I had no idea they weren't in Canada! I don't want to oversell it or anything, but Target. Is. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI had my first Target experience over the weekend too. I'm Canadian but was at Target in Bangor. It was heaven. I swear I had heart palpatations the whole time. I wish I would have had more time, but the gingerbread latte (from Starbucks) made up for it in the end!
ReplyDeleteI have heard from some friends that the ones in Canada tend to be not quite as nice and have a very familiar "Zellers" vibe. Did you think so?
We have Target here in Australia and it's been here for at least 20 years but it really doesn't sound as good as yours (even tho' ours is gradually improving) and we certainly don't have a Starbucks or any type of foodie thing in it - that would be a real shopping experience!!! :-)
