Back in January I wrote about how I had just ordered some mini task lamps for our master bedroom side tables. I was nervous about the purchase because a) they were a bit of a splurge, and b) I had never ordered anything from Restoration Hardware before.

Well, let me just say, that I absolutely love them. The lamps arrived practically two days after I ordered them, they were packaged really well so there was no damage (I've had a few bad experiences with shipping lately from other stores), they are really heavy / well-made, and they look real good.
Since I made the bed this morning AND dusted this afternoon I thought I would finally share a picture. Here is the side table on my side of the bed.
Keep in mind that I do not like this combination of accessories. But, it's what I have lying around the house so I'm sticking with it for now.
Maybe this week I'll take some more updated photos of our master bedroom. I've made a little bit of progress in that department with a quilted bed-skirt, some linen curtains, and some wall art over the bed.
However, before I take any pictures I need to replace our duvet. I've decided that I cannot live another day with the lumpiest duvet of all time. I'm sucking it up and using some of my birthday money to get another new one.
:)
Back to the lamps though - aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen!?!?
So funny you dont like the combination of the accessories because I love them! I think they look great!!

Me, too. :)
DeleteI do also!
DeleteWait!!! What's wrong with your duvet?? I remember the "longest boring post" of how you selected it. So sorry it didn't work out.

I bought a synthetic duvet from Homesense back when I found the duvet cover from Ikea. It is SUPER lumpy though and looks terrible. It's time for a new one. We'll probably pay a bit extra this time to get a better quality one. :)
DeleteCute lamps! I love you accessories. Touches of browns, touches of blacks, touches of whites- all tie together nicely, I think.
ReplyDeleteHave you checked out The Company Store for duvets? My groom and I bought a high end goosedown comforter with funds we were given for our wedding- 25 years ago!- and although he's gone now, I still have and use the comforter. About 15 years after we purchased it, I sent it back and had more down added, and it came back clean and fluffy, looking and feeling brand new again. For a duvet that will last until Cooper has his own family, I recommend The Company Store as an option to consider.
I will check it out, Elaine. Thanks so much for the info. :)
DeleteI love those nighstands. Where are they from?
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the accessories are perfect!
Hi Pam, the nightstands were from Homesense a few years ago. HOWEVER, I recently saw them there again. I think it was a few months back!
Delete:)
P.S. Pottery Barn just got some really similar (but a bit wider) ones.
New reader here! I seriously love your blog. Would it be weird to start from the beginning and read all of your posts to catch up? I love your style of writing and the projects you do!/
ReplyDeleteAMY! That would so not be weird. It is totally something I would do.
DeleteWait, it would totally be something I would do the night before an important deadline. Lol!
Thanks so much for visiting and following. :)
I just discovered your blog - your sense of style is so fresh and simple! I love it! Would you mind updating us on the fixer-upper? I want to see how the siding turned out!
ReplyDeleteYes, I really should share an update. I'll try to take some updated photos within the next few weeks.
DeleteThanks so much for reading and following along! :)
hhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteLove them! I'm not sure I would have ever thought to put those lamps in the bedroom, but it looks great. I'm so glad I found your blog. Can't wait to browse. :)
