The fixer-upper we bought last year actually came with a new front door (not sure the material except it isn't wood). It's not my style, and the finish is wrong (this lighter oak-y wood color that doesn't go with anything else in the house), but it keeps the hot out in the summer, and the cold out in the winter better than any other door I've ever owned. Therefore, it stays.

I like old, but more for decorating. I'm into energy efficient and old wouldn't work in our neighbourhood. All three inspiration photos are pretty but the first one is my favourite and what a great price too. What fun to have old doors to play with.
