I'm sitting in my office sobbing like a baby (haha... thank goodness it's a snow day and very few people are in). I'm sure it must be so painful to recount almost losing your furbaby. I'm so relieved that Roary is doing better. Hugs to all of you!

Poor guy, I'm so glad that he is ok. I've never heard of anything like that before so I'm glad you shared. I hope that nothing like that ever happens to one of my dogs but if it ever does I'll know what to look for because you shared yours and Roary's story. :o)

I am so glad to hear he recovered! The poor thing - and poor you to have to go through that! We have a golden also so I totally understand wanting to do whatever is possible to save him. They are like our children and it is so scary when something happens to them. Thanks for sharing your story!

oh i am so glad- i am tearing up.... the scene you describe of being on the floor petting him telling him he was a good boy- we were there exactly one month ago today as we said goodbye to charlie, just repeating that he was such a good boy and we were so happy to have known him an loved him so much. we still miss him so much, but i know he is free from pain, and the fatigue he was feeling. and i know i will see him on the other side years from now, spry as a pup!

Poor thing!! I am so glad he got better!!

I had a cat get very ill once with liver disease. She was at the vets overnight and the vet called my dad to say she wasnt eating and probably wouldnt last long and we should come and say goodbye. My dad asked her what they were feeding her and the vet mentioned some expensive brand. My dad said "she wont eat that!" and got her 50 cent cans of junk cat food. He brought it to the vets, and the cat went to town on it. She lived for many more years :)
