I bought them last spring and they are smallish. We'll see how they do this year. I live in northern IL and it's been an extra cool (and rainy spring), so they're just now getting green leaves back on them. No blooms - or growth - yet!Melaniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08659968511488397366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-80564163832909293222011-05-01T17:05:10.169-04:002011-05-01T17:05:10.169-04:00Your pictures from last year look fantastic! Found your blog through a friend of mine...Hi Sarah! Found your blog through a friend of mine's. You have a sweet house that makes me think of home. I now live in Holland (Europe) though and Annabelle are one of the most popular flower bushes here. I had lots in my old house but none in our new garden until I plant some up myself again. If you cut them all the way back to just a few inches off the ground you will get the largest flowers but they will droop in rain as they become top heavy. If you cut them just a little the flower heads will be smaller and have less tendency to fall to the ground in rain. It rains a great deal in Holland so this is important here but maybe not where you are in the US? :-)

Greetings from Holland ~
HeidiHeidihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00060822757546401667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-14633661038303806252011-04-29T23:27:15.178-04:002011-04-29T23:27:15.178-04:00Cute house - reminds me of a lot of them I see in ...Cute house - reminds me of a lot of them I see in Omaha. After it was obvious we just didn't have the yard/soil to help it thrive, It continued to die a very slow and painful death.
