I like your thinking Sarah! I can't win in the picture department. Our house was robbed last year and my laptop with all of my pictures on it was stolen. Sad part is my final pictures with my dad who unexpectedly passed away a few months later was on it. I really need to start printing them I guess!

Love this post! Sucking up the curtain panel is sooo something I would do! One word of advice: put the new slipcovers on AFTER the party!! You don't want to have them ruined before you get a chance to enjoy them yourselves!

It's not so bad about the curtain. They bunch at the bottom so you can't really tell from far away. I just felt like a tool when I did it. ;)

I'm still dealing with "storage solutions" and my boy is 11! We are still storing stuff from when he was a baby/toddler/preschooler! He won't let us get rid of any of it. We have found those big hard plastic containers with lids that are stackable to be wonderful and good to put in the garage, or under the bed. We have found that we still need to keep some current toys in his room so they mainly are in containers that fit under his bed. That would be a good blog idea - storage for toddlers! Oh, and I love your little Easter bucket! What a great gift basket idea! :-)

Ha ha...I love this post of your "mess"!! I love the glimpse into your day to day living and your house is still gorgeous!! I totally get the waiting to put the slipcovers on until the day before the party. I too have white slipcover sofas and always wash them and my curtains and mop my floors the day before and people think I'm crazy but I just can't stop myself...call it OCD but it makes me feel better!!! Do you mind if I make a suggestion? Open up your Ikea packages and make sure they got your order correct. I would hate for you to get an unpleasant surprise right before your party. You can always hide them away after checking on them.

Tempting as it is to put the slip covers on for the birthday party, it might be better if you wait until after it is over. You won't have to worry about anyone spilling on them at the party - and you can tell the guests what you are doing so that they understand. Just a suggestion. Whenever you put them on they will look great - I admire your style.

I sucked up something with my vacuum last week too. It was my usb flash drive for my computer. I don't know how I get myself in these messes but it is gone! It must be stuck somewhere in the piping for the central vacuum. It makes me sad that the pictures are now gone! Yikes! It sounds like Cooper had a great first Easter! Wow the little man is going to be a year old! Holy smokes!
