I got the nasty carpet off my stairs, caulked and painted them and tacked a runner up the stairs and it still makes me giddy to look at it and not the nastiness that was existing. The lower level had a hideous walk out to the back yard. Cement steps, horrible stepping stones, five years of rusted out lights. A peachy tan paint job. It took me five years to convince my husband the lights were disgusting. Really, the whole house needed some freshening up on the outside. I feel like we did right for this home. My children were always dressed in completely matching outfits including socks. <br />If you believe me you are as insane as I am.
