We bought one for our small townhouse and just pop it in at the beginning of the summer. It's a breeze to do. They are priced very reasonably these days. I think ours cost about $160 here in the States. It's amazing how well they work, and you will have a place to be comfortable in your home. Look for one on sale at the end of the summer if not before!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-59273680194024876432013-07-18T18:47:47.475-04:002013-07-18T18:47:47.475-04:00Having great sympathy for you right now! I do.not.like.HEAT!!! 75-80 is my max and please don't throw any humidity in there!!! But humid it has been. low 90's with humidity and I get nothing...NOTHING done. I lay in front of the fan and pray for rain!

We had some cross breeze issues until we opened some walls and added more windows. Makes a huge difference. Don't know how handy you and your hubby are, but mine has been replacing windows in his sisters house and it takes less than a day (not including painting, trim, etc.). Not very expensive and a huge difference.

Stay cool!!!
Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09771758574207700283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-47011261942758502562013-07-18T13:22:15.670-04:002013-07-18T13:22:15.670-04:00Thanks, we're trying. ;)Thanks, we're trying. ;)Sarah @ Cozy.Cottage.Cute.http://www.blogger.com/profile/03962067954413284646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-66790251937739308182013-07-18T11:27:40.734-04:002013-07-18T11:27:40.734-04:00We pretty much decided to do the same thing - to j...We pretty much decided to do the same thing - to just deal with it. Until last night when we could not get to sleep because it was soooo hooooot.

We discussed the options. Window air conditioner? Stand-up air conditioner? Central air?

Sigh. There are so many pretty things to buy besides air. ;) Sarah @ Cozy.Cottage.Cute.http://www.blogger.com/profile/03962067954413284646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-30352117951428569022013-07-18T11:23:53.534-04:002013-07-18T11:23:53.534-04:00Woahhhhhhhhhhh. After hurricane Ike 5 years ago, we bought a cheap window unit to keep us cool for the 11 days of no power. Of course we had to use a small generator to run it! Hang in there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
