Love your blog. Making a nest for your little one is what a good mommy does. Oh my, how time flies, I am a mother of three sons 43,42, & 38. Also raised a grandson from birth, who is now 20. Such fond memories of baby nurseries, toys, clothing and LOVE. Enjoy it all, such rewards.....~Happiness & Smiles~

I think you might be right. I have no idea why I think that a good weekend has to be one where I get lots of projects done.... :) I think I will just relax and take it easy.

Oh man - that's like the worst weekend ever! Here's a good bread recipe for your new yeast :)

3 cups warm water
1 1/2 Tblspn yeast
6 cups bread flour
1 1/2 Tblspn coarse salt

Combine all and stir. The dough will be sticky. Let rise for 2 hours. This makes A LOT of dough. It can be stored for up to 2 weeks in the fridge - this is ideal if you have small children (soon, right!) and can't bother with making bread dough every day! When ready to bake, take a large fistful, knead in some flour, and let rest 30 min. Shape as desired (I have a 4-year-old girl - we mostly make hearts and butterflies - but a nice round ball will bake up just fine) and place on a parchment-lined OR cornmeal-dusted
baking tray. Let rise again for 30 minutes. Place on middle rack in preheated oven at 450 F with a pan of water on the lower shelf (makes crust chewier). Bake for 20-25 minutes, until loaf is golden brown. Eat. Repeat tomorrow.

First, let me say that I love your writing style. It reads so smoothly - like you are sitting right across the table from me and we are having a conversation. I love it! Secondly, out of all the things that didn't work out just focus on what did. Like the fact that you have a precious little baby growing in your tummy, a baby that you will get to kiss and cuddle and love! Life's not too shabby!
