I was always so worried when my fiends would nicely (judgingly) ask me if my baby was sleeping-in-his-crib/done-nursing/still-taking-a-paci/etc. and think "OMG, should he be doing this or that by now?" then, I said why am I fighting what I love and he needs? Every baby is different, and the two of you will find what works for you. :) Heck, my son slept in our room in his co-sleeper (and sometimes mine and my husbands bed) until he was 1 year old and now he's almost 2 and a half and we still rock him to sleep at night. We both like it, he enjoys cuddling mommy and daddy and I still love to sit and smell his sweet little head. Win-win! As far as organized cupbords, a few weeks ago I thought the same thing and went out and bought all these amazing containers to organize my hall closet of its medicines, lotions, soaps, towels, etc. Turns out, the tubs are still on the bench in the hall collecting dust. Ahh motherhood! Ain't it grand!? :)

I'm all about taking pictures of my baked goods, but sometimes it tries my husband's patience. I have to find the middle road. I would also like to get some sorting and cleaning done. Under my sink does not look good. I have to work on that.

I've FINALLY got my 12 month old sleeping all night, by herself AND napping during the day for longer than 1/2 an hour. And it is GLORIOUS!!
Cooper is so cute! Great job with the sleeping, it's hard work :)

Sarah - first off, NO ONE has cupboards that look like Pinterest. Even if you make them look like that, which I did with my linen closet, they don't stay that way. Seriously, they would only look like that if you never took anything out or put anything into them. Don't lose sleep over it.

You're not alone! I covet those pantries and nooks and cabinets, but just moving into a brand new house means that our {little bit} extra $$$ must go to more of the obvious things that are actually seen by someone other than myself. Don't worry your not the only one with a love hate relationship with pinterest. I am sitting over here having a melt down because we are getting married in 7 months and do not have our own place and pinterest is making it even worse because I keep seeing all these amazing ideas and well I don't exactly have my own house to do them....it is becoming quite the debbie downer! My friend's baby looks sooo much like your baby! It's uncanny. And my first baby slept like an old man. If he was playing on the floor and got tired, he would just fall asleep. I credited my awesomeness as a mother for that. Then I had my second baby. And I realized that I deserved no credit for my first baby's sleep habits. He fought sleep like it was the devil. I'm all about 3-hour naps (because my first baby did it, so why not my second??). I never liked the sound of all of the most popular baby sleep books, but I actually read one called "12 Hours' Sleep by 12 Weeks Old." It was a fast read, and so amazing! You might not need it, because you're making great progress, so you must be doing something right. ;) But if you feel like it, you might even be able to finish it off during one 40-minute nap!

And I love your blog, by the way. :) I've been stalking you for a few months now. I made the white curtains that you have in your bathroom. They look awesome in my kitchen. :D
